HOW TO APPLY TO BA SONIC ARTS
The BA Sonic Arts programme at Middlesex is a single Honours Bachelor of Arts award. Joint programmes have major and minor components and, at present, the Sonic Arts programme is only available as a single honours and cannot normally be taken in conjunction with other subjects. It is normally taken on a full-time basis but part time study is possible: please contact us for more information about this.
We welcome applications at any time of the year and from anyone who feels that the programme may be the right one for them, regardless of their background or existing qualifications. In general, howevery, anyone applying for a place will be expected to have a general education to A level standard (usually acquiring not less than around 120 points). BTech National Diploma qualifications are regarded as equivalent. Applications from mature students are normally considered on their individual merits rather than academic achievement. We particularly welcome applications from women, minority groups and those who do not necessarily have a "conventional" academic background: our policy is to support and encourage everyone in their work with us.
Applications for undergraduate places are normally via UCAS. Contact them at www.ucas.ac.uk Their reference number for BA Sonic Arts is W3J9 C BA/Sonic. Further information is available from them or from the University Admissions Office on +44(0)20 8411 6492 or 5000 or by email to admissions@mdx.ac.uk
Later in the year, applicants may apply directly to the University as part of the clearing process. National newspapers will carry contact information or applicants can contact the University directly on the number above.
Offers of places are conditional on a successful interview which may involve written and/or other examinations. Under appropriate circumstances, interviews may be conducted by telephone or email.
The programmes are taught and assessed exclusively in English and overseas applicants may be asked to demonstrate an appropriate level of fluency but please note that the University can offer considerable help and support to anyone who does not have English as their first language.
